In this year of prophecy, many spiritual seekers are planning Sacred Journeys to Peru. Beginning in the 1960′s indigenous elders of the Quechua tribe, known as the Q’ero, emerged out of their high Andean villages carrying a message to the world. As direct descendents of the Inka, keepers of an ancient lineage, the Q’ero shamans (paqo) have been sharing the Andean path of shamanism and wisdom practices that offer a bright and luminous future for all.
Its a privilege and can be very transforming, to receive an initiation from these wise and prophetic shaman. The initiations have the ability to calibrate us for the transformational times we are now living in. Some initiations are for shifting your relationship to the Time/Space dimension. Others work with energetic reciprocity (Ayni) between you and your world, while others open you to profound shifts in your energy body. The Q’ero shaman are very joyful and profoundly simple people who are committed to assisting all of Earth’s children to be lifted into a golden age, the return of the Inka; Children of the Sun.

One of the prophecy of the Andes is about the Eagle and the Condor and Spiritpath has chosen this understanding to be the “blue-print” for our 2012 journeys. The 14-day pilgrimage through The Sacred Valley of the Inka, utilizes the wisdom of “The Condor and The Eagle Prophecy” as a mirroring metaphor for our wisdom practices. We explore meditations and movements that incorporate the Andean cosmology, mind, body, and spirit. We share practices that encourage unifying the aspects of the Eagle and the Condor within, the Masculine and the Feminine, the Outer and the Inner, Our Heads with Our Hearts, the unifying of opposites.

A 14-day Spiritual Tour to the Sacred Valley of Peru
The unique quality of this spiritual tour is the pace in which we travel. For example when you arrive in Cusco, we transfer immediately to our first hotel in Pisac where we stay for the first 5 nights. Pisac is the gateway village to the Sacred Valley and we find it unbelievable that most tours stop here for only 2 hours to shop in the largest market in the Valley! What those tourist miss is the surrounding beauty, ancient sites, waterfalls, and special nature sanctuaries that speed travel just can’t afford you.
At Spiritpath tours we prefer to spend our time connecting with nature and have designed the itinerary to intentionally avoid packing and unpacking! Instead we create picnics in out of the way places and allow you to meet the people, see the places, learn the customs, and basically to experience the sights and smells of life in the smaller villages.
This 14-day itinerary has us spending 5 nights in Pisac, 3 nights in Ollantaytambo, 2 in Agues Caliente, and concludes with 4 nights in the bustling international city of Cusco. Traveling with the Shamans
We are honored to have at least one, sometimes two and for the final initiation 4 Q’ero shamans traveling with us. Guided to special sites, we will participate in traditional ceremonies known as despachos. At specific times in the pilgrimage we will receive the relevant initiations, known as Karpays, which will be offered for the prophetic times we are living in and which seem most relevant to our group members.

Powerful and spacious describes this 14-day journey through the Sacred Valley of Peru. We will visit many of the surrounding sites of Cusco, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, the Inka Salt pools of Maras and places few tourists ever see.
Traveling with the Q’ero shamans we will participate in traditional ceremonies receiving initiations offered for these prophetic times. We will have two full days at Machu Picchu walking roads less traveled by the tourist circuit.
The groups pace will be informed by our collective endurance and spiritual interests. At the ancient temples we will explore the Andean cosmology and practice our meditations. Special times will be created for sharing our experience and for articulating how our perceptual biases are being altered through cultural exchanges with the Quechua people.
